Wickerham Inn

Several Hundreds of witnesses have reported or seen the Headless Ghost of Wickerham Inn. Built in sometime in 1797 by Peter Wickerham, the inn was the scene of a bloody murder in the early 1880’s. A stage driver was robbed and murdered in his room one night, but his body was never found.

Within in few weeks, people have reported seeing a decapitated phantom roaming the halls on the second floor.Finally during the remodel in 1922, the headless skeleton of a man was found beneath the cellar floor.Could this be the murdered stage coach driver or could it be Peter Wickerham.

Serpent Mound State Memorial

This scared site considered to be one of the most powerful in the world, was built on the edge of a crater formed when a meteor struck the earth over three thousand years ago.

The Great Serpent Mound was used for worship by both Adena and Hopewell Indians as far back as 1200B.C .The man-made raised earthen snake is 1,348 feet long, 20 feet wide and 5 feet tall.

The jaws of the uncoiling snake open seventeen feet wide to devour a huge oval egg.This is not a burial ground but sacred site.

Several people have reported encountering both evil and good spirits here.Sometime in 1983 a noted archaeologist working at the site experienced a psychic epiphany that opened his mind to spiritual world.
