Ohio Reformatory for Women

Saturday, October 30th, 2010

It is said that long ago there was an inmate who was repeatedly raped. Scared that she would tell, the man killed her and made it look like a suicide. It is also believed that she was pregnant, but no one knows for sure. Inmates and some corrections officers have reported seeing her. She can sometimes be seen peering out the window of the cottage where she was murdered on the third floor, which is no longer in use, but used for storage. Others have said that after they are locked in the rooms for the night, she will go around and unlock doors, as if checking on the inmates. Her loud cries can occasionally be heard late at night. It is believed that she also pushed at least one corrections officer down some steps. It is said that she will not rest until justice is done.
